How To Keep Your Cool In Stressful Situations

Keeping your cool could make the difference in handling whatever the situation might ask of you in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY.

Who wouldn’t want that?

Yet people don’t even make the effort to try and maintain their temper. But what can you do to improve this aspect of your personality?

While there isn’t a “quick fix” but it’s instead a series of deep underlying problems that an individual might have developed through life… i can surely give you a few little pointers that might make a difference.

Let’s start!

See problems as something to solve.

Not as something that needs your emotional investment in. Exactly, you got it, taking emotions out of the equation will certainly make solving your problems a easier task.

Breathe.

Simple as that. Take deep breaths, as humans – that’s our personal way of blowing-literally, steam off. (aka negative energies) we’re like a locomotive.
Breathing will calm you almost instantly and will give you a clear mind. Couple this with daily meditation, and you’re gold.

Watch the situation from “up-high”

I usually use this method, i imagine myself being at the top of a super huge mountain, while looking down to the problems at hand.

In this way you can easily give your problems the right proportion, and you’ll see that it’s not something you should really worry about.

It also helps me understand better the situation i’m facing, since i can give the me “down there” effective advices on how to tackle it, in a calm and collected way.

Positivity Is Slowly Killing You

Why are you doing this to you? Why are you doing this to your life, first and foremost?

Especially during these proving times there are people that have the courage to tell you that you should “take it easy” , “take your time and cope with the stress”…

“Relax”..

Why do you keep on listening to them?

I say : fuck that.

Pardon my language or not, i don’t care, BUT… do you really think that is the case to follow that lighthearted advice?

We’re in the middle of one of the most crazy crisis the world has ever known…and you heed the words of a random snowflake telling you that is “OK” to relax?

Really?

Why aren’t you improving yourself instead with all this time on your hands? THAT’S WHAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING.

Improving your flaws.

Improving your body.

Your finances.

Your life.

Don’t fall prey to this “fake” positivity stuff.
It’s damaging.

They’re telling you this because they probably have nothing going on in their lives as well.

They’re basically telling you that is ok to waste countless hours watching Netflix and playing videogames while the world is going to hell.

Yeah because being prepared to face life and uncomfortable situations is too big of a hassle, better wait until things are on your doorstep and it’s too late to do anything, while depression cripples on you.

Right?

Useless.

I’ve always hated this fake positivity that some people so desperately try to force on themselves and others, because it clouds people’s judgement in favor of a nonexistent and “avoid-all-problems” mindset.

Your problems are not going away with positivity and kind words.

But they won’t tell you that.

Why?

You see,
It doesn’t benefit to their persona, their following.

Yet you fall for their honey words, why?

I DARE YOU tell me that i’m wrong, when i’m just laying out the truth in front of your eyes.

“Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!”

-Rocky Balboa

I think you know where that line is from, don’t you?

It pretty much sums up what i feel, and why i think a positive mindset is good to have ONLY if you are willing NOT to ignore and sweep your flaws and problems under the rug with the excuse of being “positive”.

It’s time for you to start thinking AND feeling for yourself, stop being a god damn puppet.

That’s all I wanted to say.
